Wall-mounting Instructions
Complete the following steps to hang your PLA-400/402 on a wall.
" See Table 7 on page 35 for the size of screws to use and how far apart to place
them.
1 Select a high position on a sturdy wall that is free of obstructions.
2 Drill two holes for the screws. The distance between the centers of the holes is listed in
the product specifications appendix.
1 Be careful to avoid damaging pipes or cables located inside the wall when
drilling holes for the screws.
3 Do not insert the screws all the way into the wall. Leave a small gap of about 0.5 cm
between the heads of the screws and the wall.
4 Make sure the screws are snugly fastened to the wall. They need to hold the weight of
the PLA-400/402 with the connection cables.
5 Align the holes on the back of the PLA-400/402 with the screws on the wall. Hang the
PLA-400/402 on the screws.
Network Password Change the power line network password to only allow the ethernet
adapters you specify to join your network.
Firmware Upgrade Download new firmware (when available) from the ZyXEL web site and
use the configuration utility to install it.
Note: Only upload firmware for your specific model!
